Join Cowtown Cycle Party’s Funky Picnic mixer ride! This large BYOB party bike holds 16 people and is a great way to spend an afternoon. For this ride, the Funky Picnic crew will be riding along with samples of beer and a story for each one. First stop is at a park for the original “funky picnic”, then pedal on to the indoor Funky Picnic for some more beers and sandwiches. As a bonus, it is also NTX Beer Week and National Sandwich Day!
Our third Beer Dinner installment features a tribute to some of the OG beers of the NTX Beer Scene! We have brewed our own twist on the recipes of Peticolas’ Velvet Hammer, Rahr’s Blind Salamander, Martin House’s Riverhouse, and Collective’s Petite Golden Sour. Along with one of our very own beers, we have paired each tribute along with some of our own beers with eight food courses in collaboration with the Culinary School of Fort Worth.
For the Love of Craft was inspired by archival interviews conducted by Charlie Papazian and Dick Cantwell. From 2015-2017 they filmed over 100 interviews with those who jumpstarted the craft beer movement as we know it today. For the Love of Craft features Larry Bell, Kevin Blodger, Ken Grossman, Kim Jordan, and Jim Koch who candidly tell their story behind their businesses and brews.
We will be tapping a Pink Boots Society brewed dry-hopped Pilsner at 6 pm, then showing the movie in our taproom at 8 pm. Come support the local ladies in the beer industry and see a cool film about beer!
National Coffee Day was such a success that we invited Roots to join us every Sunday for brunch until they open across the street! Enjoy specialty lattes from Roots Coffee Cart and a brunch menu and beer cocktails from Funky Picnic. Coffee will be served until 1pm and the brunch menu runs until 3pm.
